My favourite manager

This isn't easy for me to say Diane
I know you don't need anybody's protection
I really wish I was less of a thinking man
And more a fool who's not afraid of rejection
Today I suddenly realized that although I quit all those Beatles communities a long time ago (I mean - I'm still a fan and all, but there comes a time when "What's your favourite Beatles song" tires as a discussion subject, you know?), there's still one Beatles-related one I can't bring myself to quit:
mrbrianepstein. It's quiet as a grave, too. I have no idea why I'm so fond of a long dead manager, but there you have it.
Oh God just listen to how wonderfully articulate he was. And that posh accent. "Puhsenal chaam".
My favourite Epstein anecdote (I can't even remember where I got it from, possibly A hard day's write) is from the early early early days of the Beatles, before fame and fortune: They're preparing for a gig, when Paul McCartney walks up to Epstein and explains that he can't play, there's a girl that've invited him to her place. Epstein responds with slapping his face and telling him "to grow up". There's a moment of stunned silence before Paul goes to get his guitar.
I don't even care if it never happened, that mental image is hilarious.
In other news - hey, I've got Tiny's old printer hooked up! The first test print I did was Sgt. Benton's Men of UNIT pinup image - you know the one. The fact that I get a bit unfy at John Levene surprises me a bit. I usually get all aww-y from reading his blog. What an incredibly sweet man!
The second print I did was my cue cards for my lecture on Simone de Beauvoir, which I delivered today. It went alright, though the group discussion on women's rights got a bit out of hand. I think I might possibly have a crush on Jean Paul Sartre as well.
But the big news of today was that my sister Tiny finally moved from her LiveSpace (boo hiss) to LiveJournal:
tiny_cs. Give her a shout if you have the time.
