I worry that there are no non-English-speaking countries anymore
We're being told the same thing over here, but I don't think there's any reason to worry just yet. And I'm studying old Norse so for me it seems like we're just taking back a few words we were already using when we were vikings: Ask us where you got the words bag and window and knife and a couple of hundred words :P
Bryggen will always have English signs, I fear, for sake of the tourists. That's my main language pet peeve at the moment.
