A quick run-through of the bathroom situation

It's dead, essentially. My bathroom.

Sometime in December the lamp and heater and then finally the electrical system in the room passed on. Repairs will take until - and this is only an optimistic estimate - sometime at the end of the month.

Thankfully, a few days ago the lamp and heater started working again, leaving us only without the hot running water.

Hot water, I've discovered, is actually a very lovely commodity that I haven't cherished enough in the past.

Well at least my kitchen is still in working order; I just got done washing my hair in the kitchen sink actually. It'll do for now, but nothing can really beat a proper shower. We're finally getting a new one too! A proper shower cabinet, from what I've heard! I'm glad to see the tiny awkward elevated metal wash-basin thing that kept clogging go - of course, now that that's been ripped out I get to see just how moldy and rotten the wall behind it is every time I go to the toilet. So until that's been made slightly more palatable I don't have any plans of inviting friends over.
