Or; Why I can't climb stairs today. Jesus Christ my legs are never going to work again.
Well, so yesterday I did my weekly hike up Fløyen and brought my camera along. Then I got lost and climbed another mountain, Blåmanen.
On my way I passed the world-famous Bryggen and was pleased to see that the old Fish and ______ shop was up and running.

It is to this date the only sea food I've eaten in the famous coastal city of Bergen.
But onward to Fløyen:

It's not a particularly taxing hike; The paths are well kept and you can choose different paths to the top.
This is the view from my favourite path:

I suppose this is about halfway to the top. Damn dead tree.

Man do I love the smell of spring. Warm, moist moss is has a lovely smell.

The main frustration with Fløyen might be that you never feel like you're particularly far away from the city.
So yesterday I did something I've never done before: I stepped away from the path and into the pine forest.

Yes, I have an unhealthy love for moss-covered boulders.
So what does one listen to while one explores nature and conquers mountains? Wagner? Norwegian folk music?

THE MONKEES! Note also my ingenious self-made plaster made from paper and tape. McGyver eat your heart out.
So at one point I stepped out of the forest and onto a path...

...and realized I had no clue where I was.
Bu I followed the path and -

BAM! SURPRISE CIVILIZATION! Or a soda shop to be precise. And the SURPRISE!MOUNTAIN is Blåmanen.
I took one look at it and thought, "Sure, I'll head on."
BAM! Soda shop from above!

Brought to you by Vertigo Vision! Ask me about confronting my own mortality some time!
Oh, and at this point I'm sweaty, starving, have one soaked foot ("Well hello there concealed bog!") and the camera's battery has run out.
But hey, I found some snow!

Oh yeah, and the view is great.

I didn't get to explore the whole area, but I was feeling rather accomplished by the end of my climb.
