muffy_flywall said to me the other day, "I didn't even like Star Trek until you came along and fucked up my life!"

Tonight on her suggestion we watched Space Seed, The Wrath of Khan and, against my better judgement, The Search for Spock. It's still a blast to rewatch them with a good friend by my side, and finally have someone who'll join in on some passionate roaring of "KHAAAAAAAN!!"

Spock: "You have been... and always shall be... my friend."
Tilly: *Cries like a baby*
Maria: "Tilly get a grip, it's just a movie."
Tilly: "But Spock and Kirk and... Spoooock."

Kirk: *Is stalling like a motherfucker while the Genesis planet is falling apart*
Maria: *Is pummeling the stuffing out of my bed* "SAVE HIM SAVE SPOCK FOR FUCK'S SAKE COME ON KIRK YOU DEGENERATE SMURF SAVE SPOCK!!"
Tilly: *Snerk*

Sulu: "If I read this right, Captain, we have full power."
Kirk: "Go, Sulu!"
Maria and Tilly: *Dancing* "GO SULU. GO SULU. GO SULU." (This chant popped just about every time we spotted a familiar character).

Maria: "Saavik? Who's this Saavik broad?"
Tilly: "A Vulcan chick, but she doesn't behave very Vulcan. Apparantly the fan theory is that she's only half Vulcan."
Maria: "Pssh, with a name like that? Saavik, Såvik. She's totally Norwegian. Half Vulcan, half Norwegian."
