Greek in the sun
Aug. 3rd, 2004 11:37 amSpinning: I'll get you, the Beatles
Lyric sample:
Well, there's gonna be a time
When I'm gonna change your mind
So you might as well resign yourself to me
Paul McCartney has himself mentioned this was his most 'faggy' song. Which is kind of interesting - Paul and John sing this together all the way through, and someone pointed out you just imagine they're singing to eachother. "Imagine I'm in love with you...", not to mention, "So I'm telling you my friend/I'll get you, I'll get you in the end..."
Oh, am I the only one who think things like that are quite amusing? I guess so. Well, well. But when you have funny quotes like this staring you in the face:
Q: "If John Lennon could come back for a day, how would you spend it with him?"
Paul: "In bed."
(Q Magazine interview, 1998)
Alright, I'll stop. Alright! Intriguing thoughts, though, but not possible.
Gah, it's hot. Very very hot. I'm not complaining though - I'd rather too hot than too cold. As this is possibly my last post before I zoom off to the Netherlands (and then straight to a little cabin in Skei, Norway), I'll give you a little summer drawing (funnily enough, I drew this last winter)

Enjoy - and you better miss me.
