Adventures in babysitting
Apr. 25th, 2012 06:59 pmLast night marks the longest time - twenty minutes - I've ever spent all alone with a baby. Hanne, now nine weeks old, went through the ordeal with a high-pitched giggle (she does that occasionally, SO CUTE). She's getting such a good grip on this whole development thing, she can now support her own head for quite a while (which means we can recreate the opening to the Lion King. Obviously v. important), and she's entertained by high-contrast moving imagery (which meant I could carefully explain and show her just how cool James Cagney is). Yes. I've got this babysitting stuff down pat.
Heading back to Bergen tomorrow, but not for long. Only a few weeks so I can pack and tie things up in Bergen and then, well, return (to Akershus and to Linni, who's going to be looked after by mum for a little while). And hopefully we'll find pastures new on this side of the mountains.
