Less than three days ago I had a moment of "Wait, it's May? Early May, surely? Let's check the calend-OH MAN MY BIRTHDAY. I'VE GOT ONE OF THOSE." I legitimately forgot about my upcoming birthday! That'll prove how focused I am on moving right now. But hey, I remembered in time.

Had a fine day: Express package from Mum with all sorts of odds and ends; Brunch with Maria; Bought a second-hand copy of L.A. Noire with some of my birthday money (a hardboiled crime thriller set in the 1940s? I think me and this game are going to get along very well); Saw The Hunger Games at the movie theatre (I think my favourite part was the visual look of the Capitol residents - I'm pretty sure "futuristic overindulgence" gotta be the most exciting words a designer will ever hear); Pigged out on junky take out and then cake.

Day deemed a success! Only it was really cold and wet out, which felt really weird because I literally can't remember any of my birthdays not being sunny and warm. But the bad weather can carry on for all I care; I've got leftover cake and L.A. Noire.
