Day-lee-ah ?!
Aug. 31st, 2005 01:18 pmWe stood beneath an amber moon
And softly murmured "Someday soon"
I really wonder if I'll ever be able to listen to that song without imagining Jonathan Pryce being tortured. That's what movies do to you, kids!
I've really been having fun with these soundclips from the Jeeves and Wooster TV series (alright, initially I tried to find the naughty one remarked by
tootsiemuppet). I know I have some gripes with the guy, but the voice of Stephen Fry really is Jeeves. Haven't warmed to Hugh Laurie yet, but then I'm no Black Adder fan (after I learned to play the theme on my trumpet, it's haunted me night and day). To my horror I've discovered I've been mispronouncing aunt Dahlia's name all this time. C'mon, why on earth should it be pronounced Day-lee-ah? And lo! I found a Jeeves and Wooster theme variation perfect for my animation credits (which I've worried about all day).
Wanna sue me, Granada? The least thing you could do is making the damn DVDs available in Norway!
ETA: Heh, now I can't stop singing "Good afternoon ki-itchen" to the melody of Good night Vienna. That's what sound-without-vision mp3s from television series you can't get hold of'll do to you, folks.
