Poor, miserable me

Okay, right, it seems I misinformed you (heck, I misinformed myself). This illness is not in fact "Return of the flu", but "Attack of the Mono".

That's right. I've gone and contracted "kissing disease". Feeling quite down because of it too.

As far as I've gathered I have to sort of put my life on hold for some weeks, and I won't be entirely healthy until six weeks or so have passed.

And now I have to watch out and take care of my spleen? I was barely aware I was in posession of one. What has my spleen ever done for me? Okay, it might be that my spleen is a mighty fine guy, but I keep envisioning it as a freeloading bastard, skulking around with a cigarette in its mouth.

The only thing that has faintly amused by this whole ordeal that the illness is caused by the Epstein-Barr virus. It's like having a lot of feminine well-educated Englishmen nancing around in my bloodstream. Oh, and that you can actually purchase cuddly plush-figures of said virus:

So, any sympathies or hugs out there for a sick outcast? *puppydog eyes*

Hey, having the man who produced The Beatles in your bloodstream can't all be bad...*hugs*

And extra hugs for that icon *hugs*

You're sick again? You poor thing. Indeed, sympathies. Indeed.

Please recover quickly. I'm not exactly sure how many radio shows we'll be able to manage ourselves through when you're not with us.

(By the way, that... whatsthatagain.... pink thingy you've posted... it kinda reminds me of the Furby we found the other day. Remember? Oh, we found a Tamagotchi as well.)

Thanks for your sympathies. I'd love to recover quickly, but it's impossible to tell if recovery will take two weeks or two months. Most of the day I lie in bed, reading Tolkien (not too many complaints about that, though - and I may be relieved of P.E. (gym) for six months for health reasons).

And that pink thingy is one of the cuddly toys offered from Giant microbes (http://www.giantmicrobes.com) - a company that makes cute plushies based on the shape of actual microbes. One of those things I'll buy the day I become filthy rich and can pare money on silly stuff like that. Imagine perching the flesh eating virus next to your pillow...

Physical Education, if I remember correctly... and I'm quite sure I do. :P :)

Igjen, god bedring.

1. Ah well, jeg skal ikke stresse deg. Har akkurat samme motviljen mot Harry Potter.

HAHA OMG. Plush virus! Good times, good times.

Sorry you're feeling like shite. :(
